Reza Sarsangi is an associate in the Securities Group at Cassels. Reza’s practice involves all aspects of corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions involving public companies, and regulatory compliance. Reza regularly acts for both investment banks and issuers in connection with public offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions and going-public transactions, and also advises issuers with respect to corporate governance practices and continuous disclosure matters, including advising mining clients of their mineral project disclosure obligations.

Reza’s representative work includes acting as counsel to:

  • a syndicate of Underwriters in a $431 public offering of Capstone Copper
  • a syndicate of Underwriters in a US$111 million public offering of Ero Copper
  • Lithium Americas in a US$275 million public offering of common shares
  • Latitude Uranium in connection with its merger with ATHA Energy Corp.
  • Canopy Growth in connection with its US$250 million At-The-Market Program
  • a syndicate Underwriters in connection with a $85 million bought deal public offering of common shares of Argonaut Gold
  • a syndicate of Agents in a US$57.5 million private placement of Osisko Development

Reza received his J.D. from Western University. Prior to law school, Reza received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ryerson University, graduating with distinction. Reza has also completed the Osgoode Certificate in Mining Law program.
