Steven Henderson (he/him/his) is a member of the 2021-2022 Articling Student class at Cassels. Steven earned his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he was awarded the Silver Medal for having the second highest cumulative grade point average in his graduating class. During his time at law school, he acted as Vice President of the Intellectual Property Society of Osgoode, as a “Dean’s Fellow” student mentor for Osgoode’s first year Legal Process course, and as a student volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada.

Before joining Cassels as a summer student in 2020, Steven was previously a summer law student at Mount Sinai Hospital, completing legal work in a variety of areas including business law, intellectual property law, employment law and privacy law. Prior to studying law, Steven received an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration at the Schulich School of Business at York University, completing a double specialization in Marketing and Operations Management/Information Technology. During this time, Steven was actively involved in Schulich’s Business Law Association and the York Marketing Association.

In his spare time, Steven enjoys creative writing, keeping up with the latest developments in popular music, and watching as many of the year’s Oscar-nominated movies as he can.
