On December 8, 2023, Nexus Capital Management LP, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, completed the purchase of substantially all of the assets of MAV Beauty Brands Inc. pursuant to a voluntary proceeding under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (Canada). The purchased assets include a diversified portfolio of hair care and personal care brands, including Marc Anthony True Professional, Renpure, Cake Beauty and The Mane Choice.
