Jasmine Qin is a partner in the Securities Group at Cassels. Jasmine’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Jasmine has extensive experience with complex transactions, particularly in the mining sector, including business combination, take-over, go-public, and domestic and cross-border financing transactions. Jasmine also advises public companies on regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters on an ongoing basis.

Jasmine’s representative work includes acting for:

  • SilverCrest Metals Inc. in its proposed acquisition by Coeur Mining, Inc. for US$1.7 billion
  • Special committee of GFL Environmental Inc. in its proposed sale of its environmental services business for an enterprise value of $8 billion
  • Sandstorm Gold Inc. in its US$1.1 billion portfolio transformation through acquisition of Nomad Royalty Company Ltd. and BaseCore Metals LP
  • Continental Gold Inc. in its acquisition by Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd. for $1.4 billion
  • Lundin Mining Corporation in its $625 million acquisition of Josemaria Resources Inc.
  • Allied Gold Corporation in its US$267 million financing, business combination and go-public transaction
  • New Gold Inc. in its US$400 million refinancing of senior notes
  • Syndicate of underwriters in Osisko Development Corp.’s $103 million bought deal financing
