Lauren White is an associate in the Banking & Specialty Finance group at Cassels. Lauren’s practice focuses on a broad range of domestic and international corporate finance transactions. She regularly acts for both borrowers and lenders in secured and unsecured lending transactions, project finance facilities, bilateral and syndicated facilities, and asset-based financing. Lauren has particular experience working with resource companies in the mining sector. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Lauren was both a summer and articling student at the firm. Lauren has completed the Osgoode Certificate in ESG, Climate Risk and the Law.

Lauren’s recent experience includes acting for:

  • Torex Gold Resources Inc. in connection with its US$250 million sustainability linked credit facility
  • Artemis Gold Inc. in connection with its US$425 million secured syndicated project financing facility
  • Artemis Gold Inc. in connection with its US$141 million precious metal purchase agreement and additional US$40 million funding through amendment of the existing gold stream agreement, all with Wheaton Precious Metals Corp.
  • Sandstorm Gold Ltd. in connection with its US$625 million sustainability linked credit facility
  • Lundin Mining Corporation in connection with its US$1.75 billion revolving term facility
  • Sigma Lithium Corp. in connection with the US$100 million project financing in connection with the Grota do Cirilo Project in Brazil
  • SilverCrest Metals Inc. in the completion of a US$120 million project finance facility for the Las Chispas Project in Mexico and the US$100 million debt refinancing package
  • Victoria Gold Corp. in connection with its US$200 million corporate credit facility
