John H. Craig

John Craig serves as senior counsel in the Mining Group at Cassels. John practises in the area of securities law with an emphasis on resource companies, including TSX listings, takeover bids, issuer bids and going-private transactions. His mergers and acquisitions experience involves mergers of public companies, both listed and unlisted, and acquisitions of listed companies by unlisted and private concerns. John is also involved with international resources in negotiation and drafting of mining and oil and gas concession agreements, joint venture agreements, operating agreements and farm-in agreements in a variety of countries. John is recognized as a leader in his field by such authorities as Chambers Global, where clients describe him as “an icon in mining.”
