Cassels Lawyers Recognized Among the Best in the Country by Best Lawyers 2020

08/21/2019

Cassels is proud to announce that 66 of our lawyers across 30 practice areas have been named to the 2020 edition of Best Lawyers, the strongest showing ever for the firm.

We are particularly pleased to note that Mark Bennett was named “Lawyer of the Year” for Natural Resources Law in Toronto. Only a single lawyer for each practice area in any given city is selected to be “Lawyer of the Year,” and we congratulate Mark on this notable achievement.

Newly ranked in Best Lawyers for 2020 are Alison Hayman (Intellectual Property), Marlon Hylton (Corporate & Commercial Litigation), Ryan Jacobs (Insolvency & Financial Restructuring), and Carla Potter (Equipment Finance).

Since its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 39,000 leading attorneys cast almost 3.1 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honour.
