On July 26, 2021, Minerals Technologies Inc. (“MTI”), a New York-based global resource and technology company that develops, produces and markets a broad range of specialty mineral products, acquired 100% of the issued and outstanding shares in the capital of Normerica Inc. Established in 1992 and headquartered in Toronto, Normerica is a leading producer and supplier of premium pet care products in North America. Normerica employs approximately 320 people and generated revenue of approximately $140 million in 2020. The acquisition extends MTI’s core cat litter position in North America and strengthens its global pet care platform.
