Ardy Mohajer is an associate in the Real Estate & Development Group at Cassels. Ardy’s practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate law. He represents private, public, and government agencies, in the acquisition and disposition of a wide range of commercial assets including retail centres, industrial and office buildings, multi-residential complexes, and hotels. Ardy routinely acts on both lender and borrower side real estate financing transactions, including those relating to acquisition, term, mezzanine and construction loan facilities. He also has extensive experience in landlord and tenant side leasing for office, industrial, retail, and restaurant premises. Furthermore, Ardy has advised issuers and underwriters on capital market offerings, and private equity funds, developers, and real estate investment companies on joint venture and co-ownership structuring.
Ardy obtained J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. Previously, he earned an M.Sc. from the Department of Bioresource Engineering at McGill University. His graduate school research was in the field of clean technology for waste management processes and led to the publication of two scientific papers as first-author in peer-reviewed journals.
Ardy volunteers with Law in Action Within Schools, the Hospital for Sick Children, and the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.
