Sabah Kalim is an associate in the Business Law Group at Cassels. Sabah completed her JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. She has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from York University, where she graduated summa cum laude with Highest Distinction. While at York University, she was an active student-athlete as a member of the York University Women’s Volleyball team and a four-time recipient of the U-SPORT Academic All-Canadian award. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Sabah was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
During law school, Sabah worked with the Human Rights Legal Support Centre, where she was responsible for providing summary legal advice, conducting legal research, drafting memoranda and arguments, participating in hearings and leading mediations. Sabah was also active in her school’s chapter of the Black Law Students Association and served as the 1L elected representative for the Osgoode Hall Law School Student Caucus and the Admissions Committee. Sabah also worked as a research assistant, conducting legal investigation, drafting memoranda and analyzing case material related to labour law in the context of an emerging global pandemic.
