Lizzie (Xinyue) Chen is an associate in the Business Law Group at Cassels. Lizzie’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and general corporate and securities law. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Lizzie was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
Lizzie has law degrees from both Canada and China. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to attending the University of Toronto, she received a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Chongqing, graduating in the top ten percent of her class. During law school, Lizzie served as a co-chair of the China Law Group at the University of Toronto. She also worked at a Chinese trial court, where she performed general clerical duties in her third year at the University of Chongqing. Lizzie is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
In her spare time, Lizzie enjoys reading, movies and classical music.
