Lizzie (Xinyue) Chen is an associate in the Business Law Group at Cassels. Lizzie received her JD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. During law school, Lizzie served as a co-chair of the China Law Group, organizing panels, talks and conferences. She also volunteered with the International Human Rights Program and the Pro Bono Students Canada. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Lizzie was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
Prior to law school, Lizzie graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of Chongqing in China. In her third year, Lizzie worked at a Chinese trial court, where she performed general clerical duties including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and arranging trial proceedings. Lizzie is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
In her spare time, Lizzie enjoys reading, movies and classical music
