On September 1, 2022, Essity AB, through its subsidiary Essity Hygiene Products Inc., completed its acquisition of 80% of the issued and outstanding shares of Knix Wear Inc., a leading provider of leakproof apparel for periods and incontinence, for a purchase price of more than US$320 million.
Cassels acted for Essity.
This deal won an Excellence Award at Lexpert’s Canadian Law Awards 2023 in the category of Mid-Market Deal of the Year.
