Ali Marshall (she/her/hers) is a member of the 2025 Summer Student class at Cassels. She is pursuing her JD at Western University and has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) from the University of Guelph. During her time at Western Law, she has been a case manager for the Sports Solution Clinic, and an intern with the Dispute Resolution Clinic. She is also the co-chair of both OUTLaws and Western Law’s Diversity Committee. Ali enjoys advocacy competitions, and recently represented Western at the Julius Alexander Isaac moot, where she placed second nationally and won the award for best factum.
Prior to law school, Ali worked for the Ministry of the Attorney General. She clerked in the Ontario Court of Justice, primarily on criminal matters, and has extensive in-court experience. She later worked for the Crown Attorney, where she developed her passion for advocacy. She further explored this interest in her 1L summer, working at a non-profit in The Hague.
In her spare time, Ali volunteers with the Feed the Hungry program at Osgoode Hall and enjoys cooking, travelling, and swimming.
