Misha Apel (she/her/hers) is an associate in the Competition & Foreign Investment and International Trade Groups at Cassels, with a focus on competition, foreign investment, and regulatory matters. Misha advises clients on matters arising under the Competition Act and the Investment Canada Act, including merger review, competitor collaborations, advertising and marketing practices, and related regulatory compliance issues. She also assists clients with regulatory matters relating to packaging and labelling requirements.
In addition to her regulatory practice, Misha has broad experience advising on corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, securities law compliance, corporate governance, and general business law matters.
Misha graduated with her JD from Western Law in June 2023. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Misha was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
