On August 27, 2026, Westbridge Renewable Energy S.A. entered into a definitive share purchase agreement for the sale of its Red Willow solar-plus-storage project in Alberta, through the sale of all of the issued and outstanding shares of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Red Willow Solar Inc. for total consideration of up to approximately $26.7 million, if certain conditions are met. The transaction was driven in part by rising power demand in Alberta, particularly from the rapid growth of AI data centre infrastructure, which has increased interest in utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects.
