Luciano Aguilera is a member of the Capital Markets Group at Cassels. He advises issuers, underwriters and investors on public and private offerings (including IPOs), corporate finance, M&A, continuous disclosure, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, including mineral project disclosure (NI 43-101) and governance best-practice recommendations. His practice has a strong mining focus, regularly involving royalty arrangements, earn-ins, joint ventures, offtake and other complex commercial agreements.
Luciano brings more than a decade of experience at leading firms in Canada, the US, and Chile, and as Senior Legal Counsel at a major Canadian bank advising across Latin America and the Caribbean. Admitted to the bar in Ontario, New York, and Chile, and fluent in Spanish, he offers a practical, multi-jurisdictional perspective and helps clients navigate civil-law jurisdictions and bridge common-law/civil-law issues in cross-border transactions.
