J’Davia Noel (she/her/hers) is an associate in the Banking & Specialty Finance Group at Cassels. She recently graduated from the J.D. program at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, where she has actively contributed to the community. As the Vice President of Mentorship of the Black Law Students’ Association, J’Davia supported current and aspiring law students by providing them with the necessary tools to succeed in law school. J’Davia also acted as a Teaching Assistant to the first-year Access to Justice class, and as a Research Assistant for the Transnational Law and Justice Network. She continues to assist with the organization’s outreach initiatives. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, J’Davia was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
Prior to law school, J’Davia earned a Joint Honours Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Political Science from the University of Ottawa. While in Ottawa, she volunteered as an Administrative Assistant at the Parliament of Canada for the MP of Edmonton Centre. In her third year, she completed a year abroad at the University of Leeds in England.
In her spare time, J’Davia enjoys doing yoga and cooking new vegan recipes. She is constantly exploring new ways to improve her health and wellness.
