Cory Sherman (he/him/his) practices in the Real Estate & Development Group at Cassels and is co-lead of the commercial leasing team, specializing in commercial lease negotiations. A leader in his field, Cory represents many of North America’s largest national and international retail and restaurant chains and several of this country’s largest real estate developers. He also acts for numerous independent developers who operate on a smaller scale. In recognition of his work, Cory is considered by Lexpert to be one of Canada’s leading practitioners in property leasing and is consistently included in The Best Lawyers in Canada as one of the best solicitors for real estate and leasing.
Cory has lectured extensively at the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC), the Canadian Bar Association, and other professional bodies and conference organizations. Cory has twice chaired the ICSC Canadian Law Conference and frequently acts as a moderator and speaker at ICSC seminars.
Prior to joining Cassels, Cory was one of the founders of a successful boutique real estate and litigation firm in Toronto.
