Alysha Manji-Knight (she/her/hers) is a partner and serves as Deputy Chair of the Competition & Foreign Investment Group at Cassels. A leader in her field, Alysha advises clients on all aspects of Canadian competition law, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, cartels and other criminal matters, private actions (including class actions), advertising and marketing practices, abuse of dominance and other reviewable conduct. Alysha’s deep knowledge of complex regulatory requirements has made her a trusted adviser to clients across a range of industries, including mining, retail, commercial real estate, telecommunications, consumer products, and financial services. She also counsels clients on Canadian ownership and control laws as well as privacy matters.
Alysha has guided clients in extensive multi-jurisdictional and domestic merger investigations, trials and antitrust compliance matters in a wide array of industry sectors and advises non-Canadian investors (including state owned enterprises) on Canadian foreign investment issues under the Investment Canada Act.
Alysha is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and holds leadership positions within the Canadian Bar Association and American Bar Association.
Alysha is a dedicated and collaborative community leader and is passionate about mentoring and fostering diverse and inclusive teams.
Prior to joining Cassels, Alysha served as a partner in the Competiton, Antitrust & Foreign Investment Group of another prominent national firm.
