Toronto

Rob Sniderman is a member of the 2019-2020 articling student class at Cassels. Rob first joined the firm as a summer student in 2018. Rob graduated from the J.D. program at the University of Toronto. While obtaining his degree, Rob was actively involved with Downtown Legal Services, where he worked as a caseworker and division leader. As a caseworker, he represented university students who were charged with academic offences or appealing grades and terminations. He also represented clients in wrongful dismissal matters and employment standards claims. In this role, Rob negotiated with opposing counsel, drafted written and oral submissions, and appeared before administrative tribunals. Prior to studying law, Rob graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto with a double major in Ethics, Society and Law, and Cinema Studies. During his undergraduate and law degrees Rob sang with Onoscatopoeia, the Hart House A Cappella Jazz Choir, for six years. Rob continues to pursue his love of a cappella through his work on the board of directors of SING! The Toronto Vocal Arts Festival – Canada’s only all a cappella festival.

In his spare time, Rob enjoys playing instruments, watching movies, and attending the theatre.
