Jamie Litchen was part of an interview with Lexpert for their “On the Deal” series. In the interview, published in the October 2019 issue, a team of professionals who worked on the cross-border Canopy Growth/Acreage Holdings deal discussed the intricacies of the matter.
Writes Elizabeth Raymer: “When Canopy Growth Corporation implemented its plan of arrangement in June to acquire US multi-state operator Acreage Holdings, Inc. for US$3.4 billion, it completed a highly complex M&A transaction that set a new precedent for companies to participate in the upside of the largest cannabis market in the world.”
Says Jamie: “While there are always unique elements to every M&A deal, being engaged by a client to develop an innovative transaction structure is notable in an M&A practice.”
