Sarah Kemp is an associate in the Litigation Group at Cassels. Sarah maintains a broad corporate and commercial litigation practice, with a focus on franchise litigation, products liability, and contracts disputes. Sarah brings a practical, results-driven approach to litigation, with an aim to delivering excellent client service. Sarah frequently appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, while obtaining successful results out of court, including through mediation.
Recent examples of Sarah’s representative work includes:
- Acting for franchisors in proceedings involving rescission claims, other breaches of the Arthur Wishart Act (Franchise Disclosure), 2004, and breaches of franchise agreements
- Representing clients in judicial review applications of administrative and arbitration decisions
- Representing shareholders, officers and directors, and corporations in oppression, derivative actions, and breach of contract proceedings
- Acting for landlords and tenants in commercial leasing disputes
- Representing clients in complex civil fraud actions
