Nicola Ladd is an e-Discovery & Litigation Case Manager on the Discovery Services team in the Litigation Group at Cassels. She is engaged in electronic document and evidence management, including collection, review/analysis and production, from discovery to trial at all levels of civil court in Ontario. Nicola has extensive experience conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, preparing costs submissions, managing undertakings, attending to all aspects of trial preparation and enforcing judgments/orders.
Prior to joining the Cassels team, Nicola worked as a senior paraprofessional for over a decade at prominent Toronto civil and commercial litigation law firms specializing in insurance defence (product liability, property damage, professional negligence and personal injury) and land-based disputes (real property, construction and commercial leasing).
Nicola graduated with Honours from the Law Clerk Diploma Program at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in 2008. She is an active associate member of the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario where she completed the e-Discovery Certificate Program in 2021. She has attended various e-Discovery seminars and vendor specific training and she is currently working towards becoming a Certified e-Discovery Specialist.
