Michaila Pilcher (she/her/hers) is an associate in the Litigation Group at Cassels. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, Michaila completed an advanced Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Econometrics from the University of Manitoba. During her time at the University of Manitoba, she was a member of the varsity soccer team and an Academic All-Canadian.
At law school, she was a Senior Editor for the Indigenous Law Journal, a co-leader of the Asper Centre Consent and the Constitution Working Group, and a participant in the Kawaskimhon Moot. In the summer following her first year of law school, Michaila worked for an Indigenous justice organization where she interviewed community members from various First Nations.
In her spare time, Michaila enjoys spending time with her friends and family, purchasing more house plants, and hanging out with her pet potbelly pig. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Michaila was an articling student with the firm.
