Brandon Manhas is a partner in the Capital Markets Group at Cassels. Brandon’s practice is focused on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on advising public companies involved in mergers and acquisitions, business combination transactions, securities offerings and other finance transactions. He also has experience advising public companies across a variety of different industries on their securities compliance requirements, continuous disclosure obligations, corporate governance matters and Canadian stock exchange issues.

Brandon has been involved in numerous high-profile transactions, including acting for:

  • Calibre Mining Corp. on its business combination with Equinox Gold Corp.
  • EMX Royalty Corporation on its merger with Elemental Altus Royalties Corp.
  • Calibre Mining Corp. on its acquisition of Marathon Gold Corporation
  • SilverCrest Metals Inc. on its sale to Coeur Mining, Inc.
  • Torex Gold Resources Inc. on its acquisition of Prime Mining Corp.
  • Torex Gold Resources Inc. on its acquisition of Reyna Silver Corp.
  • Calibre Mining Corp. on its $115 million bought deal financing.
  • Western Copper and Gold on its $46 Million bought deal financing

Brandon has been recognized for his excellence in the fields of mergers and acquisitions laws and securities laws by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.

Brandon received his J.D. at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, where he was a member of the Law & Business Society, serving as a First Year Representative and as Co-President and Co-Treasurer during his second year. Additionally, Brandon served as President of the Hockey Club and Vice-President of the Rugby Club. He was also a Student Ambassador for Allard and was a member of the Allard Law Careers Committee.
