Angela He

Angela He is a member of the 2020-2021 Articling Student class at Cassels. Angela recently graduated from Western Law, where she was an active member of the student community. She served as a Staff Editor of the Western Journal of Legal Studies and Co-Chair of the East Asian Law Students Association. She was also a research assistant for a University of Ottawa law professor in the areas of immigration law and criminal law. Angela graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia. She majored in International Relations and minored in Asian Canadian and Asian Migrations Studies. During her time at UBC, she was involved extensively with community revitalization in Vancouver’s Chinatown and received the Arts Undergraduate Research Award.

Prior to joining Cassels, Angela worked in corporate fundraising and at the Public Affairs department of the US Consulate, planning events with the arts, academic and philanthropic sectors. She also spent the summer of her first year of law school at the Myanmar office of an international law firm. In her spare time, Angela loves learning about different cultures through food, travel, and history.
