Andrew Stavros is a member of the 2023-2024 Articling Student class at Cassels and volunteers as a student editor at the IP Journal. Andrew summered with the firm in 2022.

Andrew graduated from the JD program at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he served as a clinic coordinator at the IP Innovation Clinic. He rotated with the CODEX team at Stanford University during his IP intensive. There, he studied the interaction between Copyright, AI, and Machine Learning. Andrew received the IP Osgoode David Vaver Medal for Excellence in Intellectual Property in 2023.

While at Osgoode, Andrew also was a senior editor and mentor at the Canadian Law Review, a publication that provides mentorship, research, and publication opportunities to pre-law scholars.

Before going to law school, Andrew got a medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Bahrain. He then contributed to research in orthopedic surgery and genetics. He also acquired first-hand experience in franchising, management, and entrepreneurship at the two franchise restaurants he co-owned and managed.

In his spare time, Andrew enjoys being outdoors, travelling, board games, and acquiring new experiences.
