Andrea Gorys serves as counsel in the Construction Law Group at Cassels. Andrea provides litigation counsel to clients in the construction industry and has represented clients – both plaintiffs and defendants – before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal and in private arbitrations. She has also represented clients in regulatory matters with Transport Canada, Environment Canada, and Health Canada. Andrea offers experience advising a wide range of clients – including consultants, contractors, subcontractors, managers, and owners – on both commercial and residential construction issues. These issues include bidding and tendering, breach of contract, breach of trust, construction liens, deficiencies, and delay.

Prior to joining Cassels, Andrea worked as an associate practicing commercial and civil litigation after completing her articles at the Toronto offices of a major national firm. Her practice has included construction litigation, tort litigation, health law and professional liability claims, as well as a wide variety of commercial litigation, including product liability, technology litigation, contract disputes, and fraud claims. Andrea is fluent in French and Lithuanian and conversant in Italian.
