Lindsay Dykstra is a partner in the Intellectual Property and Entertainment & Sports Groups at Cassels. Her practice is focused on corporate, commercial and intellectual property law matters.
Lindsay has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions with a specific focus on entertainment, media, sports and technology. Lindsay also regularly represents music artists, athletes, studios, publishers, and other entertainment and sports organizations on a variety of corporate, commercial and intellectual property matters, including music catalogue sales, music publishing, recording and touring agreements, sponsorship and endorsement agreements, and production and financing agreements for film and television.
Lindsay is recognized by Legal500 Canada for media and entertainment law in Canada. She frequently speaks at conferences and other events on entertainment and intellectual property issues. Lindsay is a member of the program advisory committee for Humber Polytechnic’s Music Business program, and is also on the board of directors for a non-profit organization supporting up-and-coming filmmakers.
