In a recent article published by ALM’s Law.com International, Canada Correspondent Gail Cohen explores national firms who have strengthened their IP teams – including Cassels.
Writes Gail: “Change is not just happening among specialized IP firms, there’s also a shift in the IP practices at the full-service national firms highlighted by the move in early December of partners Andrew Skodyn and Sean Jackson to Cassels Brock & Blackwell.”
The idea of being in an actively growing practice with strong resources was behind their decision to join Cassels. Sean observes that “it’s hard to find full-service firms committed to growing their IP practices as a pillar of the firm,” while Andrew notes that “Cassels has been amping up its IP power.”
