On February 25, 2026, Dream Impact Trust and its development partner in the Quayside Impact Limited Partnership completed the restructuring of their ownership interest in Phase 1 of a large-scale, multi-tower Toronto waterfront project. Dream entities now wholly owns the multifamily rental component. On completion, Phase 1 is expected to comprise of 1,100 multifamily rental units, as well as approximately 550 affordable units to be developed in partnership with Waterfront Toronto and the City of Toronto.
Cassels acted for The Bank of Nova Scotia in connection with its loan to the Dream entities secured by, inter alia, the Phase 1 multifamily rental component.
