On July 29, 2026, Kinross Gold Corporation’s subsidiary Great Bear Resources Ltd. signed a Community Benefits Agreement with the Northwestern Ontario Métis Community, which is part of the Métis Nation of Ontario. Among other matters, the agreement outlines the key economic terms and includes financial accommodation, among other benefits, to the community.
