Sydney Greenspoon

Sydney Greenspoon (she/her/hers) is a member of the 2024-2025 Articling Student class at Cassels, having previously summered with the firm. Sydney received her JD from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law.

During her time at Windsor Law, Sydney served as Co-President of the Jewish Students Association, where she was an outspoken advocate against antisemitism on campus. In her final year of law school, she was invited by a Canadian Member of Parliament to speak at the National Press Gallery in Ottawa in connection with the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights’ hearing on combatting antisemitism, where she submitted a deputation. Sydney is a published author with the Times of Israel. Additionally, Sydney worked as a Pro-Bono Students Canada volunteer in their ID clinics and served as the Communications Team Lead of the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program.

Prior to law school, Sydney obtained her Bachelor of Social Work degree from King’s University College at the University of Western Ontario. During her undergraduate studies, Sydney worked as a student social worker, primarily serving refugees and newcomers to Canada and individuals with substance-use disorders.

In her spare time, Sydney enjoys travelling, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with her friends and family. She is an avid fan of Broadway musicals and can recite all 47 songs in Hamilton by heart!
