Soha Atiq (she/her/hers) is a member of the 2024-2025 Articling Student class at Cassels. She received her JD from the Queen’s University Faculty of Law.
Prior to law school, Soha graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Certificates in Humanitarian Response and Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies from Harvard. At a young age, Soha developed a passion for policy and business and cofounded a successful exporting business with her father. After finding success in her business ventures, Soha began an upcycling charity in her hometown in Faisalabad, Pakistan where she continues to serve women in the area. She has also worked as a policy advisor both internationally and locally with the United Nations and the City of Toronto.
During her time at Queen’s Law, Soha acted as the Student Director for the Conflict Analytics Lab where she has collaborated with data and computer scientists to develop new legal technology using artificial intelligence. Soha has also managed a large Pro Bono Students Canada portfolio of over 15 projects and 100 students. Restructuring the entire chapter, she went on to develop the first project to address mental health challenges amongst women of colour.
Soha enjoys cooking, fitness, and travelling, particularly back to her ancestral land in South Asia.
