Shayla Joshi

Shayla Joshi (she/her/hers) is a member of the 2025-2026 Articling Student class at Cassels. Shayla recently graduated with her JD from Queen’s University Faculty of Law where she was awarded the 2024 Millenium Award. In her final year, Shayla spent a semester studying law at Trinity College Dublin through an exchange program. During law school she was the Vice President of Academics for the Law Students Society and involved in many student collectives including the South Asian Law Students Association. Beyond her involvement in student initiatives, Shayla worked at two of the Queen’s Law Clinics: the Queen’s Elder Law Clinic and Queen’s Legal Aid.

Prior to law school, Shayla earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Queen’s University.

Outside of work, Shayla enjoys reading, going to the movies, and spending time with her friends and family.
