Shana Cesaire (she/her/hers) is an associate in the Litigation Group at Cassels.
Shana earned her JD from the University of Calgary where she was involved in mooting and served on the executive team of the Calgary chapter of the Black Law Students’ Association.
Prior to law school, Shana completed a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a Minor in Communications at the University of Calgary, followed by a Master of Arts in English Literature and African Studies at Carleton University. Her professional background spans both large and emerging tech companies, where she gained experience in creating proposals, marketing, and content creation. Shana also worked independently as a freelance writer.
Outside of work, Shana enjoys cooking, reading, and planning trips with her friends and family. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Shana was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
