Nathan White* is a partner in the Litigation Group at Cassels. His practice focuses on complex corporate and commercial litigation, including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, and other business conflicts across a broad range of industries, including financial services, energy, and construction. He works with clients to develop strategic and practical solutions to high-value and business-critical disputes, whether through litigation or negotiated resolution. He has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta, the Court of King’s Bench of Manitoba, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and in various alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including arbitrations and mediations.
Nathan’s representative work includes the following:
- Driven Energy Ltd. – successfully opposed application by minority shareholders for a liquidation order for alleged oppressive conduct
- Rhyolite Resources Ltd. – acted for target in its successful acquisition by Gold Hart Copper Corp. by way of a statutory plan of arrangement
- Redstick Ventures LLC – successfully opposed application for an interlocutory injunction for alleged misuse of confidential information
- Chemtrade Electrochem Inc. – acted in a trial concerning entitlement to a $25 million reverse termination fee under an arrangement agreement
- TAQA Drilling Solutions Inc. – successfully acted in a trial and appeal concerning a dispute over $28.5 million held in escrow subject to a post-closing condition
