Mariana Furneri (she/her/hers) is an associate in the Business Law Group at Cassels. Mariana’s practice focuses on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and commercial law. Before joining Cassels as an associate, Mariana was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
Mariana completed the joint BCL/JD program at McGill University’s Faculty of Law and spent her final semester on exchange at Sciences Po Law School in Paris. Prior to her legal studies, she completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Anthropology at McGill University. While in law school, Mariana acted as Executive Editor for the McGill Journal of Sustainable Development Law and as Vice-President of Logistics for the McGill Sports & Entertainment Law Association. She also completed an internship with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, where she contributed to legal research and advocacy on constitutional and regulatory matters.
In her spare time, Mariana loves trying out new recipes, going to concerts, and travelling to new and familiar places alike.
