Mariana Furneri (she/her/elle) is a member of the 2024-2025 Articling Student class at Cassels. She completed the joint BCL/JD program at McGill University’s Faculty of Law and spent her final semester on exchange at Sciences Po Law School in Paris. Prior to her legal studies, she completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Anthropology at McGill University.
In law school, Mariana acted as an editor for the McGill Journal of Sustainable Development Law, participated in the Winkler Class Actions Moot, and acted as Vice-President of Logistics for the McGill Sports & Entertainment Law Association. She also had the opportunity to complete an internship at the Canadian Civil Liberties Association. Additionally, Mariana worked for a health and benefits service provider for five years, where she served clients and their employees as a benefits administrator.
In her spare time, Mariana loves trying out new recipes on her friends and family, going to concerts, and watching the best new tv shows.
