Mariam Awadalla

Summer Law Student

Mariam Awadalla (she/her) is a member of the 2024 Summer Student class at Cassels. Mariam recently completed her second year at Windsor Law, where she is a member of Pro Bono Student’s Canada, the Alternate Dispute Resolution club, Health Law club and the Corporate Law club. Mariam also completed an externship with the Windsor Regional Hospital during her second year of law school, where she published internal health policies and researched on regulatory requirements, health law and the role of artificial intelligence. Additionally, Mariam participated in the Zuber Moot and is a mentor for first-year law students where she facilitated meetings to promote mental wellness.

Prior to law school, Mariam worked on the executive team of a non-profit legal organization, where she conducted policy research related to Charter challenges. Mariam graduated with distinction from McMaster University, obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During her undergraduate degree, Mariam led workshops on leadership and mental wellness.

Mariam enjoys spending her spare time with her family and friends, swimming, hiking and traveling.
