Joshua Jackson is an associate in the Litigation Group at Cassels, offering a diverse commercial litigation practice that covers an extensive range of industries and sectors. Josh advises and represents clients on an array of disputes – including litigation and arbitration related to contractual rights and obligations, defamation, fraud and shareholder disputes, insurance issues and regulatory matters.

Josh also offers expertise in construction litigation, having provided advice and advocacy to public and private sector owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, sureties, and design professionals throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. In addition, Josh has experience in restructuring and insolvency matters, assisting clients on the Commercial List with investigations, debt recovery, creditor claims, bankruptcy issues and CCAA proceedings. He has acted for debtors, creditors, lenders, receivers, and monitors in various restructuring scenarios.

Josh has appeared before various courts and tribunals in Ontario, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and has experience with alternative dispute resolution methods including mediation and arbitration. Josh takes a strategic, analytical, and adaptable approach to highly complicated disputes, while always remaining focused on the business critical needs of each of his clients.
