Joel Matson is an associate in the Business Law Group at Cassels. His practice is transactional based, with a focus on corporate and securities law matters. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Joel was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
Joel received his JD from Western University’s Faculty of Law in Spring of 2021, where he received the Carswell Entrance Scholarship. While at law school, he was involved with the Entertainment and Sports Law Committee and Western Law’s Competitive Hockey Team.
Prior to law school, Joel graduated from Western University with an Honors Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies, majoring in Finance with distinction and earning the MOS Diamond Jubilee Alumni Scholarship.
Prior to joining Cassels, Joel worked at golf course in the Greater Vancouver Area as a member of the grounds crew for five summers.
