Andrea Tomko (she/her/hers) is a member of the 2025-2026 Articling Student class at Cassels. Andrea received her JD from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University.
During her time at the Schulich School of Law she served as the President of the Domus Legis Society, Canada’s oldest student-run social society for law students, having previously served as the Vice President Social and a 1L Representative. She also volunteered as an upper year buddy to support first year students transition to law school.
Prior to law school, Andrea earned both an Honours Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences and a Master of Science in Pharmacology from Dalhousie University. Her graduate research focused on the anti-cancer effects of cannabis derived compounds, with a particular emphasis on chemotherapeutic resistant breast cancer. This research led to six publications in scientific journals. Throughout her time at Dalhousie, Andrea also worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Biology.
In her spare time, Andrea enjoys trying new recipes, listening to live music, and participating in indoor cycling classes.
