Abrina works with businesses on a range of corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on private mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and corporate reorganizations. As a member of the firm’s Business Law Group, she assists clients with transactions and day-to-day operations, supporting business growth.
Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Abrina summered and articled with the firm.
Abrina earned her JD from the Queen’s University Faculty of Law and spent a semester on exchange at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. While at Queen’s, she served as Editor of the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal and as a Director of the Queen’s Venture Law Society, helping connect students and practitioners through discussions on innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging trends in the legal industry.
Before law school, Abrina completed a Master of Economic Development and Innovation at the University of Waterloo and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Western University. Building on her graduate studies, she completed a term with the Ministry of Infrastructure, where she contributed to the delivery of funding for municipal infrastructure projects across Ontario.
In her spare time, Abrina enjoys yoga, travelling, spending time with her dogs, and cheering on the Maple Leafs.
