Patience Omokhodion Speaks with Canadian Lawyer on Running Her Own Race

10/31/2019

Patience Omokhodion was recently profiled by Canadian Lawyer as part of their Women in Law series.

Patience spoke with Canadian Lawyer about her personal path to success and the importance of running your own race: “It just means celebrating when others succeed, without always comparing yourself to the speed at which other people are going…”

Patience also stresses the importance of finding a sense of belonging in your career, acknowledging that the Black Female Lawyers Network has been that for her. Patience also notes that she believes that Cassels “walks the walk” when it comes to inclusion and credits her mentors at the firm for helping her rise to career challenges along the way.

Patience will be part of Canadian Lawyer’s upcoming Women in Law Summit. Learn more about the summit here and read her full profile here.
