Matthew Alter Elected President of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers

Matthew Alter, a partner in the Toronto office of Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, has been elected President of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers (CCCL) at its annual meeting on June 2, 2018, in Banff, Alberta.

Matthew will help guide the CCCL in the coming year to further its goals, which include facilitating and encouraging the association of outstanding lawyers who are distinguished for their skill, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice and teaching of construction law and dedicated to excellence in the specialized practice of construction law.

A Fellow of the CCCL since 2006, Matthew has been dedicated to the mission of the CCCL and has previously held the positions of Vice-President, Treasurer, Program Coordinator and Editor of the Journal of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers.
