Andrew Skodyn specializes in intellectual property and commercial litigation, focusing on patent and trademark disputes, complex commercial conflicts, product liability defense, and class actions. Andrew’s significant experience in providing strategic advice for clients as well as his role as a commercial litigator in complex cases and class actions should perfectly fit in with a Cassels IP group that emphasizes these attributes in offering advice specifically tailored for each client’s business. Andrew, most well known for his pharmaceutical patent litigation, also has extensive experience in other sectors including general life sciences, information technology and social media, professional services, manufacturing, agribusiness, banking, and oil and gas. Andrew is also very well known as an advocate, with numerous trials and appeals in the Ontario and Federal Courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada.

Sean Jackson specializes in intellectual property litigation, advocating for clients across several industries, including pharmaceuticals, medical products, oil and gas, and telecommunications. With a focus on the pharmaceutical sector, he regularly guides clients through proceedings under the Patented Medicines Notice of Compliance Regulations (PM(NOC) Regulations). Sean, leveraging his PhD in biochemistry, combines scientific expertise with legal acumen to craft innovative solutions for clients, whether asserting intellectual property rights or defending against infringement claims.
