Cassels is pleased to share that The Honourable Marco Mendicino, Senior Counsel and Strategic Advisor to the firm, has been appointed Chair of the newly launched Tempo Basketball Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Tempo, Toronto’s WNBA team.
The Tempo Basketball Foundation is focused on closing gaps in mental, physical, and social health for women and girls across Canada and providing funding to support community programs. Marco’s appointment reflects his continued leadership at the intersection of sport, community impact, and public life.
Says Marco: “Sport has always been a catalyst for community progress and the Tempo Basketball Foundation is proof of that in action. Our mission is to unite people around the Tempo – Canada’s WNBA team – and advance the mental, physical and social health of women and girls so that they live healthy and full lives.
