Jared Enns will speak on a panel entitled “Rights and Resources: Legal Developments in Energy and Aboriginal Rights, Consent, and Title in Canada” during the Canadian Energy Law Foundation’s (CELF) Aboriginal & Energy Law Seminar, which will take place in Vancouver on May 21, 2026. This panel will examine how recent legal developments in Aboriginal title and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples are reshaping the landscape for energy projects in western Canada. Jared will address how these changes influence regulatory approval processes for energy projects in BC and across Canada, as well as how Aboriginal rights, title, and agreements are addressed within these evolving frameworks.
