Dan Zuniga and John Norman are presenting an interactive workshop entitled “Ready, Set, Grow! Investor Readiness with Cassels,” which takes place virtually on October 13, 2021. The session is hosted by Yukon University Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Dan and John will discuss how startups and high growth companies can properly organize, form and structure their companies for professional investment. Topics covered include capitalization particulars, protection of founders’ equity (founder restricted share purchase agreements, IP transfer and CIOPP, shareholder agreements), a brief overview of the financing cycle and financing alternatives (private placements, convertible debt, simple agreement for future equity, preferred share equity).
