Casey Chisick has been named co-chair of the 2018 CSUSA Annual Meeting, which will be held at The Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto from June 10 to 12, 2018.
Based in New York, CSUSA was established in 1953 to foster interest in and advance the study and understanding of copyright law in literature, music, art, theater, motion picture, television, computer software, architecture, and other works of authorship, and their distribution through both traditional and new media. Members of the Society include lawyers and professionals from the world’s leading IP firms and entertainment and media industries, sole practitioners, in-house counsel, authors, publishers, academics, and representatives of the U.S. Copyright Office.
The Annual Meeting is CSUSA’s largest event of the year, drawing members of the copyright community from around the world to engage in discourse on the legal and business issues at the forefront of copyright and intellectual property. This will be the first time the Annual Meeting has been held in Canada. Casey’s co-chair for the event is Maria A. Pallante, former U.S. Register of Copyrights and current Executive Director of the Association of American Publishers.
